Contract: Victoria Avenue Resurfacing and Associated Works (Phase 1)

This contract encapsulates what Jayen are best known for, due to the varied elements of works undertaken. Our duties under this contract included: replacement of kerbing, widening of the central reservation and footways, repair / replacement of existing drainage system, additional pedestrian crossings and improved safety railings, ductwork, street lighting, resurfacing of the highway with improved alignment, soft and hard landscaping, improved access to car parks, and safety improvements.

The work was undertaken within very tight time constraints and we worked very closely with the Jersey Highways Partnership to bring this project to completion with minimum disruption to the road user. All parties involved worked jointly to overcome the changes to the scheme reducing delays to the overall completion date.

Jayen were responsible for continuing the PR on this project and liaised with all affected residents keeping them updated with progress as well as dealing with all complaints and special requirements.
